In the first game, "The First Chapter," players (called Illuminaries) are summoned to the magical kingdom of Lorcana and arrive at the Great Illuminary in the center of the kingdom, where they collect various Disney stories.
In the second installment, "Rise of the Floodborn," six types of magical ink suddenly overflow and flood the Great Illuminary.
The Flood's effects caused the magical inks to mix together, causing unpredictable effects on characters in Disney stories.
Characters whose appearances differ significantly from those in the original story are classified as Floodborn, and the Illuminaries begin to investigate their origins...
